• 2/3 cup milk
• 4 eggs (large)
• 8 thick slices of bread (thick slices of Italian or French loaf bread which are least 2 days old)
• 2 Tea spoons of cinnamon
• Butter (can substitute vegetable oil as well)
• Maple syrup

Optional

•  Fresh berries
• ¼ cup triple sec
• 2 tea spoons freshly grated orange zest

Directions

First prepare the Egg Mixture as follows;

Beat the eggs together in a bowl along with cinnamon and milk. Stir the triple sec and/or orange zest. Until well blended whisk the mixture and pour into another shallow bowl which is spacious enough to keep the slice of the bread.

Then add Bread into the Egg Mixture as follows;

Soak the slices of bread by placing each slice into the mixture until it soak in it.

Fry the French toast as follows;

Melt the butter in a frying pan between medium to high heat. Place the bread slices onto the frying pan and make sure to shake off the excess mixture. Fry the toast until it turns brown on one side and then flip over to fry the other side of the bread slice.

Finally, you can serve the fried French toast with maple syrup, fresh berries, butter or even use other toppings such as whipped cream, chocolate chips, ripe banana slices as per your choice.
