Undoubtedly, Nutella is one of those foods that you cannot resist eating and impossible to dislike. Simply, Nutella is full of Chocolate and Hazelnuts and super delicious. As you all know, there’s plenty of foods that can be made using Nutella. So let’s learn an easy way to prepare one of them.

Nutella Tarts

In Nutella tarts, a fragrant buttery biscuit foundation is topped with a smooth and creamy Nutella coating. These are great for all Nutella and chocolate lovers! They’re double baked as exquisite little cookies and make a lovely accent to any tea table!

Note – The total time taken to prepare would be 1 hour and 20 minutes for a yield of 30 Nutella Tarts. This includes 60 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to cook.

How to Prepare?

Ingredients needed

  • Firstly, you will need ½ cup or 115g of unsalted butter softened at room temperature.
  • Secondly, 180g or 1 and ½ of All-purpose/plain flour (Have extra for flouring the surface).
  • Keep aside 35g or 2 tablespoons of Granulated white sugar.
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 300g of your favorite Nutella
  • 20g or 2 tablespoons of milk powder (this is optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon of table salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

Follow the below steps when preparing;

  1. Cream softened butter and sugar together for about 2 minutes, or until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the salt, vanilla essence and the egg yolk prior mixing it well.
  3. Combine the flour and milk powder in a sifter.
  4. After that, put the dry ingredients into the well-mixed butter, sugar, and egg yolk combination.
  5. Refrigerate the batter for 25 minutes after it has been completed. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C in the meantime (or 325F).
  6. Flour a clean surface and lay out the dough to a thickness of about 0.5cm.
  7. Cut out the dough with a cookie cutter and place on a baking tray
  8. Bake for 12 to 13 minutes, or until the sides begin to brown.
  9. Set aside for 30 minutes to cool.
  10. Afterwards, pipe the Nutella filling all over the cookie.
  11. The final step is to bake for another 8-10 minutes at 140 degrees Celsius. Make sure to reduce the temperature to 120°C – 130°C if it breaks or bubbles.
